Outside Cage for my Birdies

Hi everyone!

I haven't had much (any) time to read but wanted to stop by and share some photos!

I hope to eventually have an aviary but meanwhile I wanted a safe way to get my flighted birds outside for fresh air and sunshine, so when I had a chance to purchase a doublewide cage I did so!

We've set it up inside our screen tent to keep the mosquitoes away. All the perches are from our lilac trees.

Here are alots of photos!

From outside looking in:

Here is a view from inside, you can see our picnic table is right next to them so we can hang out and have our lunch and there is also an Adirondack chair - the other day my father was sitting with them reading a book.

Here you can see the perches better and all the birdies - Aspen you can't see her head, then the Cuban boys, Willow on the right and Maple down below.

They all got to enjoy showers outside too. Here's Aspen.

Here is sweet Willow.

Here's Cypress.

Here's Mulberry:

Here they are tegether - before and after shower, LOL:

Here is Maple bird:

Here is Aspen again, neat photo:

And here are the girls before their shower:

I hope you enjoyed all the pics!

Amy, have not seen you post in a while. I was wondering where you had gone off to!

Glad to see your babies are doing good.

Great to see them get some outside time with natural sunshine & humidity, just be real careful not to leave them alone out there unless you are home & watching. Dogs, cats, coons, possums, rats etc. could kill them or seriously injure as the spacing between cage bars is not safe outside. I'm sure you are aware of that, just checking to make positive. Those animals could rip thru a screen enclosure quite easily if they wanted to.....Great pics & nice cage.

For sure! I am afraid a human would steal them so they aren't out unless someone is out and about also. My own dogs outside area is right next to them and the doggies will bark if another animal is around, also. I always have the doggies out in their yard when I have the birdies out to play also. They are all used to one another so that is good.

Absolutely loved the photos! All your babies seem to get along well together. I've never seen "Cuban"'s before. They are beautiful! I adopted a Red Lored Amazon in March of this year. She is around 15 y/o and is not the typically loud mouth that Amazon's are portrayed as. LOL That is certainly OK with me. You have a beautiful flock!
