any water bottle?

does anyone know how the $4 Lixit glass "pet" bottles differ from the $25 lixit glass "bird" bottles? Does anyone use a standard pet bottle for their birds?

I use the Lixit green plastic bottles that are available for small animals and birds. Costs between $4 and $10 depending on size. I have several smaller ones and one larger one for one of my birds.

My birds frequently use the guinea pig's water bottles. However, I don't have those attached to the bird cages as the attachment isn't safe for birdies. I do need to get them all bottles as they really like them!
