Alex the African...

Another interesting video that I ran across online, from PBS's Scientific American Frontiers-

Videos

Scroll down the page a bit, there is an interesting streaming video about alex the African grey, who you probably know has been working with Dr. Irene Pepperberg to prove parrots have cognitive ability.. Pretty interesting stuff.

She briefly shows the training method that they use with Alex.

They also visit a parrot rescue in the clip. Pretty good stuff!

Great video. Nice to finally see Alex and Dr. Pepperburg after having read so much about them.

I agree... I have read alot about both of them, but this is the first time that I have seen alex 'in action'.

I ESPECIALLY liked the bird 'web browser' that they are creating at MIT.... Perhaps the bird board should be on Alexs' favorites list?? :)

I've seen that before. It is truely amazing the work she's done with him. I would love to sit down and pick his brain for an afternoon. I might learn something.
