I'm not sure about the ear problem, less she is trying to give you a couple of holes for earrings! Or maybe she just sees them as trying to 'take her spot'. Hard to say, though if you scold her for doing so (a good "NO" and timeout), and she continues on doing it, you'll have to stop her from being on your shoulder, no matter how much she wants to be there.

My baby Princess does/did the same thing with my ears! he hasn't done it in a while though. I just told him no, and took him off of my shoulder. I think he's got the idea now.
So glad to hear your bonding. what happens when school starts?????
