I feel that its no harder than taming a wild caught bird (LOL). If they've been living in an aviary with little human interaction, then its likely they prefer the company of other birds to humans. However, ALL pet birds currently kept in our homes are descendents of wild caught birds. I think you need the patience of a saint, good bird skills and an extremely observant personality to do it successfully. You MUST understand the characteristics of the particular species and ideally, the circumstances that put it in a none-pet status in the first place. It can be done, its just a LOT more difficult.
