Photo session

Alf, Hahn's female 1 1/4years, have not had a photo session since the red in her wings came out. I know this makes no sense since I am a photographer, but you know how it is.

I posted this one and others to the macaw gallery. Alf is doing great her vocabulary seems to be on the move again. I could never have imagined what a great companion this critter could be.

I guess I am just feeling like a proud papa today and thought I would share.

LOL, no, it doesn't suprise me at all that a photographer would neglect personal photo taking. I feel just silly sometimes when I think of how much I fail to document the events in my own family, and how much effort I put into outside happenings.

What a beautiful bird!

I see some Moire in the feather lines, what kind of camera are you using?

I am using a Canon 10D but don't blaim the camera. I uploaded the wrong picture, one that was over sharpened. I have replaced it with the correct one.

I wondered if it was a result of post processing. The rest of the image was so clean. That's a nice little light box you have there. Thank you for sharing the pics, I love seeing everyone's fids!

Thanks for sharing the picture,

When taking pictures outside of our birds they look even more beautiful :)

Thanks for reminding me to get them outside for some pictures.

Alf was hatched in May of 2004. She had no red at all untill her most recent molt which started just before her first birthday. I understand this is about right one year seems to be the time the red comes out.
