Talking Finally!!!

My mother was able to finally get our battery recharger fixed, and the neat thing about it was that it was one of my mothers co-workers who fixed it for us, so it didn't cost us anything! Which means.... PHOTOS!!! Well, in truth, they aren't all that great, but will include updates, sort of speaking...

To start off, Noel and Casey's cage-free gym... It's pretty bare as I end up cleaning up the toys I buy for Noel, and giving them to an alexandrine who I hope will better use the toy. So far, the alexandrine has destroyed all but one toy so far that has been given to him via myself! He's probably not quite 100% used to it, but it's not very scary to him anymore either....

Next would be the bourkes and budgies cages. They are pretty bare as well, though then again the bourkes don't really play with the toys very often since they resemble finches.... Bourkes usually make better aviary birds than pet birds... Of course I also need to get some more branches cleaned up for them so they will have more places to sit. (I've given a few of their toys away as well to some more needy birdies)

As far as the lonely betta fish, I think I'll probably give him away as what he currently is in is a disgrace (I don't like vases for fish) and he has nothing to play in or hide in... He did have some pretty glass rocks on the bottom, but they just became too hard to clean as we don't really have any fish supplies...

I know that the fids don't have much toys, and we DO have a bird expo coming up in September, so I hope to be able to atleast buy 5 toys there, for the fids that hopefully they'll enjoy! The only problem is that I also need to buy something nice for myself.... I don't care for make-up, nor fancy clothes, or even pretty jewerly.... If I had $500 to just spend anywhere, I'm more likely to spend 95% of it on the birds, and the rest maybe on myself... (my mother had a 'talk' with me for spending $50 on the birds when I went to Florida... she wanted me to atleast spend some of it on myself!).

Anyway, here are some better photos!

Noel in background with Casey preening....

And when I try to pick Casey up, this is her reaction!

You forgot about Noel! Both Noel and Casey are shown in the very first photo on the left, and both again in the first tree photos (Noel behind Casey).

So, I actually have two budgies, two bourkes, a cockatiel, and cherry head conure!

I have about $70 to spend however if our dog doesn't get better (sore foot) it'll have to go towards him instead for a vet visit, which would mean that the birds wouldn't be able to get some new toys or treats from the bird expo...

BTW, if you want, check out the album, and look for my two newest uploads... Click on them and view them if you want, as it's Noel and Casey outside (videos).

Monica, this is the first pic of Casey I think I've seen, and she is so beautiful! I've always loved Noel, too. Do they get along?

Yes, Michelle, they get along! In truth, they get along so great, I can't seperate them! It's alright if I take Casey somewhere, and love on her, but if I take Noel somewhere, Casey has a fit. If Casey gets stuck somewhere (i.e. in a cage), Noel will have a fit when she wants Casey back!

I'd actually like to seperate them and get another conure, however now is not the time, and I'm not sure when that might be... But then again, if I did get a second conure, I know for a fact that there is no way for sure that Noel will actually accept the new one! Noel and Casey have been living together for several years now, though.

I do have more photos at:

Some photos on the various hosting sites are actually copies of themselves however... though there are plenty more outside photos to view!
