If it is a bacteria infection it should be treated with an antibiotic and anti-fungal. I don't follow what a topical onintment will do for a bacteria infection that is internal. If there is yeast there is trouble to follow unless it is met with the correct drugs.

The idea of the test results being faxed or emailed to the states is a great idea!
