new bird ...mabey

Hey all,

Today ive been doing reserch on a soon to be new member of the flock , mabey for x-mas or my b-day (feb), so far ive narrowed my choices to ...cape parrot, mustache parakeet, blue headed pionus :0 for me the question is id like to get one that has somewhat the calm relaxed charater of my jardine and as independent, but that will somewhat get along with my J and wont be too scared of him...mustache parakeets intrigue me , im not quite sure y but they do ,,i found a breeder in my area whos asking 400$ canadia for a hand fed baby mustache is that a good price? i need opinions and mabey other sugestions ..one thing cant have birds that make too much noise or make to much dust :P

I have a maxi pionus and for laid back you cannot get better.
She gets along well with other birds (she was in with sennies, meyers, bronze wings where we got her) and is very laid back and sweet. She is relatively new to our flock, but so far she has not tried to bite, even when we take her out of the cage and she does not want to go, she steps up. She also gets along with my son and that is good.

I have no information on prices in Canada and no information on a moustache parakeet (they are not common where I am located).

Good luck on your search.
