Exclamation Parakeets?

How long does it take for them to lay an egg . Is it true they only lay eggs if the mate. my doves and other birds lay eggs even if they don't have a mate.

All birds can lay eggs without mating. This means that the eggs will be infertile, duds. It takes only 2 days to create an egg, though they don't usually start laying eggs till atleast 2 weeks after they were given a nestbox... but they must be atleast a year old.
