Follow-Up Betty & Zinc Poisoning

Wow, it's been awhile. As many of you know, my Blue & Gold (Betty) ingested some jewelry On February 3rd. Betty finally finished her treatment on Friday, 3/19. She had to get shots of calcium EDTA twice a day for a week, then one week off the shots and then she started the series over again. It's been a long (and expensive) ordeal, but it seems to be over. She has to go back in a month just to have the blood work re-checked. But now, I have another problem...please check the Catalina Macaw thread. Hopefully you all can help me out with this one too!

You're right what an ordeal! Glad to hear she is doing better and that her rounds of shots are over.

Ouch, that picture looks like my Baby Doodles....I miss him so much....I'll never get over his loss and knowing I might have been able to provent his death....I'll be sure to let you know what the state lab finds out about his cage and the paint on the cage..... Someone posted they doubted that it was the cage that caused the zinc poinsoning......I'll have to let the scientist figure it out......Just wish it would bring him back.....
