new cockatiel food

hey guys i got new food for my baby cockatiel its called cockatiel vitamin mix it contains the following: sunflower seeds,carrots,peas,white and red millet,pineapple slices and pumkin seeds mixed with budgie seeds and plenty more good seeds... just want to know if that sounds good..it sure looks good..but its always good to get some opinions :?:

How do cockateils do with sunflowers in their mix? Will they eat the sunflower and nothing else? It's not a big issue with my parrotlets, but they do get most of their sunflower sprouted.

Sounds ok to me, I guess, however I prefer to give my guys/gals fresh veggies and fruits rather than those that are dried out & have preservatives in them. I also agree with Jill and try to limit the amount of sunflower unless the adult birds have babies in the nest.....

thanx for the reply , yeah well as for the sunflower seeds what i do it i take them out of the food and give them as a treat like 2 a night i really dont want my baby to get fat..also any one have the site for dna testing with feathers ? could be helpful

I have used AvianBiotech.com in Tallahasseee Fla............ I think that is the correct address? I hear there is one in Canada that is cheaper?
