Has anyone heard from Linda (Skyebirdsmom)?

I have been traveling today and haven't been on the board. I have heard that the outer banks are getting a tremendous amount of rain and was just wondering if Linda was ok? A customer of mine said his parents were evacuated from the outer banks.

I'm fine, I'm here and we are ok, not evacuated. I don't know why they are or were evacuating people from here but I guess after katrina, they decided to get people out for safety's sake.
But thank you for thinking of us...all is well here, I am in the northern most area of Outer Banks so we didn't get it as bad as down further south as from Cape Hatteras south.

Thanks for checking in, I am glad you are well. I have heard that my favorite area of the coast, Long Beach and the Cape Fear area got hammered pretty hard.

Cape Fear and Cape Lookout both got bashed pretty hard. We further up are very fortunate as to not have been hit directly. It will still have very strong winds and rain/flooding tomorrow in early AM but nothing like down south of us.

This has really been a strange storm. It just seems to sit and sit. I had thought about a trip to the beach this weekend, but I think its gonna cause the weather at OC to be messy. What is with these storms?
