Important Question about toy parts

I have a few questions about bird toy parts. We had to pick some things up at Lowes and the craftstore, so I looked at some things that can be used to make bird toys. So far I think everything is safe, however, I need to be positively sure. And I am not.

First, see-through 6x9mm "pony beads" (the see-through is called crystal). Here is a link to their website. It is the same thing except it was a smaller package: http://www.darice.com/ecom/ProductDe...101AB&oid=1146

Here is a link I found that said "pony beads" are safe. Please let me know if I read it right and if it is or isn't safe.
http://www.birdsnways.com/wisdom/ww5e.htm

Also, "heart pony OP. multi. assorted heart pony beads" by Darice (the same one who makes the beads I listed just before). I assume the picture and other information is available hrough the same website above.

Now on to rope. Twisted Mason Line/Twine - 225ft, (#18). 100% nylon. Their website is www.lehighgroup.com. It is a hot pink color. I was not certain about this so I didn't buy it, although it is available at Lowes.

And lastly: 9.14 m or neon green plastic rope. It says 100% PVC, made by Camp Hoochie Coochie (lol). Lily has a toy with something similar on it, although it isn't flat like this, but it's round and yellow.

Thanks so much for the help!!

Not sure about the nylon as I use jute or cotton or leather strands. You can dye the cotton if you want color. I have used pony beads for small bird toys as they, the birds, are usually not strong enough to break them. Hope this helps!

I agree. Everything but the nylon is fine. Birds cannot extricate themselves from the strands and have trouble chewing through them. I use pony beads all the time to secure knots on the toys I routinely produce.

Thanks!! I also checked online and apparently the nylon is coated with "something" so it doesn't fray, so it's out of the picture!! But the plastic rope stuff is OK? I looked online and it said things like soft PVC are deadly, etc. so I'm freaked out about it, lol. It says it's 100% PVC...

If I were you, I'd order the nylon rope (forgot what it's called -PollyRope?) that is bird-safe from a bird specific supply story...it's not particularily expensive...
