Stasia - I am so sorry.

I know how you feel. I lost the love of my life (my dog) about a month ago. I felt like my heart was going to break. I almost never cry, but I just cried and cried and cried. I missed more than a week of work and had to work hard to get myself together.

I finally got over the very intense pain (I remember the first day I didn't cry - but of course I cried a lot again the next day) I am a lot better, but will honestly have an ache in my heart forever and I'm sure more tears from time to time......(like right now).

I can promise you that time does help. But, of course, you will always love and miss your little bird.

I am so sorry for your loss. Losing a loved "Family Member" is never easy. Know in your heart that you did everything you could for Pedro. He is flying free over the Rainbow Bridge.

Thank you so much to all of you, I know it seems like just a little thing to post a sympathy reply, but it brings a huge amount of comfort to me. Thanks also to all of you who shared stories about the loss of their own pets, and I am sorry to hear about each one of them. I am doing better now, still missing him madly and I haven't brought myself to clean the cage yet (stowed it in a spare room for now). Marley is really calmed down now, it is so strange how the 2 days before Pedro died Marley was screaming ans screaming and then afterwards, he's completely back to normal, really makes me wonder. I am starting to think about someday getting another little bird and that has made given me some comfort to think of new happy times to come. Thanks again so much everyone for all your kindess and support.
