Wall repair?

Hi all! what would you use to repair a hole in the wall or ceiling? I have had some hooks taken off to move hanging toys and the teils are going wild trying to enlarge these holes can I use regular wall patch? help they are literally eating the house!!

I would just spackle from the local hardware store and then paint it to match.

If you can't use a patch you still have to plug the hole before you plaster over it. Crumple up some newspaper and stuff it into the hole. Plaster over it once. After it dries you may have to do it again once or twice. Plaster tends to recede into the hole a bit as it dries. When the hole is plastered over and dry, sand lightly (maybe even with a brittle sponge). Give it a coat of primer and when that's dry paint to match.

Sanding may create alot of dust so take necessary precautions. I've had to do this a few times. Some of my walls are plaster and I found out the hard way you can't hammer a nail for a picture into a plaster wall. Hope I helped.

Thanks guys,I just wanted to make sure wall patch stuff was safe for them,I don't know if they like the taste or are trying to "tunnel" out!

thanks guy's don't know if they like the taste or are trying to tunnel out,just wanted to make sure the parch spackle was safe around the fids
