Sleep Cage

I posted here before about possibly buying another cage for Sunny. Since his cage is outside, I decided to get another cage for in the house. It's just a sleep cage for cold nights and bad weather since winter's coming up. I've been putting him in it a few minutes every night just to get him used to it before it gets cold, so that he'll be comfortable in it once it's time for him to actually sleep in it. Is there anything I should be doing to get him comfortable with the new cage? Here is a picture of him testing it out.

It sounds to be like you are doing it. If it is going to be a sleep cage only a lot of toys aren't needed. Maybe something for him to cuddle up to??

I second JimPierce, as that's exactly what I was going to say. Being that it's going to be used mainly for sleeping, there doesn't need to be a lot of activities/toys included inside. BTW--Your eclectus is adorable.

I'd consider adding a second (different sized) perch but that's about all.

Hey cool I do the same thing!
I give my girls different types of perches (braided colored rope, wooden, plastic) different sizes too, they prefer a different one every once in a while.
There favorite is the braided one, it's a bit slack so it swings a little.
And I place them at different heights so they have a choice in where they wanna bed down for the night.
