I'd have to say the Happy Hut is really important to my conure's well-being.It simulates the tree cavity nests they seek out in the wild. While care must be used to trim threads it's an item that contributes greatly to his well being. In the toy department I love Kabob toys made of yucca. For foods I'm grateful to Zupreeme for making a pellet my conures will at least nibble a little before they chuck it on the floor. And last the Sandy perch which saves my boys the stress of beak and nail trims.

Food:

I would have to say my Harrison's HP pellets. Both Echo and Harley LOVE them and they're all natural, which is a big plus for me. I also like the Le Faraber's (sp?) Nurtiberries and Avi Cakes. Lucy loves it when I give her a Nutriberry for a treat and the Avi Cakes played a big part in Echo getting weaned over to pellets. I'm currently feeding ABBA large parrot seed to Echo and Harley, but prefer Sun Seed and the seeds aren't colored.

Toys:

I order a lot from Drs Foster & Smith. They have good prices on toys and supplies. I have also found That Pet Place to bee a good resource for bird toys. They can be a little limited, but their prices are good.

Cages:

I got two of my cages from a private cage manufacturer at the last bird show. They're really easy to put together and are very lightweight (which is good for me because I move them around a lot!). If I can think of the brand name, I'll post it. Cal Cage and King's Cages are also brands I recommend. I would like to upgrade Harley to a King's Cage because they're virtually escape proof.

for my parrotlet Kiwi, she really enjoys Beak Appetit which you cook and can store in the fridge for 4-5 days or freeze and use as needed. I also make her birdie muffins from cornbread and mix in mixed veggies and baby food sweet potatoes along with chopped pecans. She loves her cozy hut at night and likes to play on her rope boing and toys with seagrass. I ordered her cage from Windy City Cages (free shipping) along with her bird bath and new swing. She absolutely loves her new cage and has a ton of room that she can fly a bit.

Pelleted food: Harrison's pellets are my favorite. I'm fortunate to be able to find it in 4 local parrot/pet stores in addition to at least 2 vet offices near me.

Toy manufacturer: Grey Feathers Toys, hand's down. They have a wonderful variety of toys to select from for parrots of ALL sizes. Beetle (lovebird) at least a dozen Grey Feathers Toys over the course of his life... Most are still in like-new condition, even after hard play. Grey Feathers also has toys that I could give to my pet rabbit. One stop entertainment/enrichment shopping

Beetle also enjoyed a selection of toys from Chopper's Toys. His favorite snuggly (he was buried with it) came from them.

As I think/come across more "essentials", I'll add them

Funny, I wrote a blog post about Stewie's favorite toys last month: Conure Toys: Vote for Your Favorite « Best in Flock - Blog About My Conure Parrot

I also created a voting widget on Amazon, but some jokers are voting up "Nintendo" as one of the top conure toys

Favorite Bird Toy

For Amazons or other acrobatic birds, a Boing is a must. It's an all-time favorite for hanging on, swinging on and bouncing on. I can't imagine them without one!

Fun thread to get new ideas from! Here's mine:

Food:
Tropical Carnival Big Beaks mix for a treat food
Nutriberries
Haven't had any luck finding a pellet that everyone likes, but Exact original is going over well with the quaker and sun conure right now and Molly likes Exact chunky rainbow

Toys:
For Molly, the U2, we love the bucket full of candy look-alike toys and the treasure box acrylic foraging toy
For the sun conure, Nicky, she loves a sort of hanging circular toy with lots of bells and wooden beads
Little Girl, the quaker, loves jingle balls

Cage Accessories:
Love the boing! Nicky loves her Happy Hut. Little Girl likes a plain cotton mop head. Everyone loves rope perches and sandy perches. The new bathing dishes are a hit with the small birds. Molly loves her Lixit water bottle, though I need to get the expensive one that has a metal backing rather than the flimsy spring holder.

Cages
We get ours from eBay and haven't had any issues.

Playstands
We got a great one at the bird show in Jacksonville (FL) this summer that is made of ironwood and rolls around on casters. It is so convenient!

Suppliers
I love Doctors Foster and Smith and our local feed store, sometimes go to Petsmart but it's so much more expensive!
Busy Beaks has great toy and toy part prices

Sprouts
I really like the China Prairie sprouting set up and really wish my stubborn birdies would actually eat the sprouts I make in it! I might just start making some for myself, instead LOL

That's all I can think of offhand...looking forward to seeing everyone else's posts

Julie

Drs. foster and smith avian entrees... comes in 4 different flavors. Some birds LOVE them, others don't.. everyone has their favorites.
I also order all of my non-homemade bird toys through the drs. Decent prices in comparison to any of my local stores.

cages; half are hand-me-downs, half are bought. My fav. is an old one, can't tell you make or model, but I love it. I also love the prevue-hendryx model #128. I have some work to do on it, but I really do like it. (painted hand-me-down)

Whomever invented birdie bread... did a great service! and Mike, the inventor of mikes manna mash, may he rest in peace.

I also love the happy huts. I prefer DIY types out of fleece, they seem to hold up a bit better than the wooly insides of the real ones, but.. who's complaining?

Oh, and.. just kidding.
