I cant remember where i heard this but...
I believe it was on Bird Board somewhere, so im going to post this on three boards here...

That is so sad (and scary). I remember hearing the ramen story as well; I do believe it was on Bird Board. It was also mentioned that birds are instinctively attracted to steam.
