total new owner panic attack

I got home this afternoon to notice that Scarlett had moisture around her nares which I've NEVER seen on her. She was sneezing quite a lot too--again, an unusual occurance. I was freaking out and thinking that OF COURSE this happens the week after I drop $200 at the vet for her.

I then saw that one of the windows in her room was open. They had been open the past few days during the day because we had such nice weather. Unfortunately, today it was about 50 degrees TOPS. The cats like to hop up on top of the table under the window to look out of it. They must have nudged it because it doesn't really stay closed unless it is latched shut--which it wasn't.

Who knows how long Scarlett was freezing for but she stopped sneezing and everything with her was back to normal within an hour or so. Thank God b/c I was a wreck!!!!

Keep a good eye on Scarlett. Resp. problems can go wrong very quickly. If the sneezing persists I would seek out a vet quickly. Poor girl!!

Hi guys. Scarlett is just fine. You'd never know she was sneezing and shivering the other day. I am just like some crazy new parent who thinks that everything is an emergency. =)

There's no sneezing or funny breathing sounds or anything. She is, at this moment, whistling from under her sheet in an attempt to get me to hurry up and uncover her.
