well, kinda sorta....she has been here 3 weeks.

I just found out today from talking to my girlfriend who had her, and my hubby that she is here to stay permantley (sp). It's a long story.but I will never let her out of my possession again.

She is an angel, hubby even sits and talks to her. the difference is unbelieveable (but prepared for the worst if it happens).

Emily

How is Kally?

Em,
that is absolutly wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tell me the story, I know its long but email me, or write it on here for all of us, Nancy was just asking about you the other day??

Well I came home tonight and Kally is back to her feet again, so I put on her meds. If it does not get better I may have to take her back to the vet.

Gary, I used the aleo(pure liquid) on her feet and it seemed to dry her feet even more. any ideas?????

Did you use the Aloe Gel? I just used the gel here this afternoon to keep Skittles from picking at her legs. The gel did not seem to dry her skin out.

We use the gel because it is more like a sauve and is thick and stays put. Check the link in the last post and you can judge how fast it heals.

Did the vet say anything about a bacterial infection, internal or external?

A vet visit is on order. She may well have a bacterial infection.

Ingrid, I thought she may not be eating and drinking more because of some type of infection, internal or external. I read your post on the steriods and I thought they would make one eat more and drink more.

I know you are frustrated not know the reason for her picking at her feet. I hope it turns out to be something simple and there is a quick fix. I feel for you and what you are going through!

I will look through several of the avian medical books I have here and see if there is anything helpful.
