All this talk about TAGs and CAGs

All this talk about the greys is making me want one so bad!!! Thank goodness I don't have the money right now to prevent me from getting one. I need time to get to know Tiki. But if I may day dream for a minute. How awesome would it be to have a gorgeous, colorful bird like Tiki the Sun Conure and then get the brains and subtle, sophisticated beauty of an African Grey...ah it's on my list

Lori, if you hang around here very long, your list will get longer and longer....sigh. (or your house will get fuller and fuller, teehee)

We just did a survey on **********, and I was astounded at how many members had greys. I think they are among the most popular of the currently kept caged birds. You'll probably acquire one along the way, seems to be the custom.

Lori,

There's just something about African Greys that are irresistible. That could just be my opinion (I'm a little biased). But, I'm sure others would agree with me. But, I agree with Kim, if you stick around here long enough, your list WILL grow. Mine has!! And I'm just now getting started. But unfortunately, I rent my house. So, I only have a limit of 2 birds. But the day I own, I may have to get rid of all my furniture (hehehe).

I understand your desire to get to know Tiki. But, I think you would be so amazed by having a Grey in your flock! One day!!

Best of luck to you.

If you don't have a lot of free time, that could be a problem. But you wouldn't want to spend all of your time with them. That could also cause a problem.

They could definitely NOT be housed together. They may get to the point when they could play together on a play stand or something, but I that's not guaranteed. There is no guarantee that any 2 birds (even if they are the same species) would get along.

How long have you had Tiki?

I don't know what it is about Greys, but even to newbies like myself they're irresistable. I ALMOST even bought a Grey (an older male who's very sweet) until I banged my head on the wall and reminded myself that I'm no way in ready for a Grey right now But for a second there the temptation was so strong... But I already plan on getting a TAG somewhere down the road (I give 5-10 years ), I think they're wonderfully complex birds who has much to offer.
