I personally find a "diaper" or any article of clothing on any animal unattractive.

That being said I'm not completely closed minded and feel that it's really up to the bird (or so it should be). But....I don't know how one can tell if the bird is behaving as it normally would while wearing a flight suit. For example: is the bird afraid to poop because it's wearing this thing? This would obviously be bad. Not to mention that nature didn't create them to carry their poop around with them. When it comes to making them happy we should always look at nature's model.

Also, is this product an example of human selfishness?...an inability to accept a creature as nature created it (they poop frequently for a reason). Just like barking, or shedding fur. Shouldn't we just modify our homes for them instead of constantly trying to modify them?

But then on the flip side: If someone keeps their bird caged at all times because they don't wan't it to poop everywhere, this product may be the only way that their fid gets to spend needed time outside of it's cage. It may even have fun wearing this.

I personally feel that any creature that we bring into our homes should be able to flaunt it's worst possible habits. Otherwise we are doing it an injustice. The bird did not ask to live with humans so we should at least accept it the way it is.

My birds, when not in their cages, each have their own play gym. So, they usually poop in one general area in which I lay down newspaper. Of course, occasionally they roam and poop in unexpected areas. I don't mind cleaning up whenever it happens. I love em' and that's part of life with them.

These are just some of my thoughts. I would never personally try to get one of my fids into one of these things.

There are certain products out there that make me feel that someone is simply out to make a buck.....this is one of the products that makes me feel that way.

I got one. I even have pictures of my lorikeet in one. I got it so that I could take her out places with me; a nursing home. Last time, they got mad over the.. well, you know.

Needless to say, she hates the thing, tries to rip it off. It also doesn't fit well, and theres not really any way to adjust it.

IMO, its a good idea, but I'd rather figure out a way to make a diaper for a harness vs. what the flight suit is... too bulky, doesn't fit right.

I think they're one of the most awful things ever manufactured for birds. What purpose do they serve? I think their only purpose is to stress a bird and they are strictly made for people who also like to dress up their dogs and cats. Utterly stupid.

I see the reason behind them... but personally don't care for them.... since most birds are not accustomed to wearing them and it can stress them out. It's easiest to train a bird to accept something like that while they are still young, before weaning preferably... although adults have learned to accept them as well...

Mighty good question..... I had debated with myself as to whether or not I ought to shame the dogs further by getting their pics....

I couldn't exactly resist with this one!
