Birdie Passion

I have read about birds doing the umm..hib-a-dee dib-a-dee on their owners hands,heads,etc... I was wondering if adding a stuffed animal or other object on which to focus thier umm... love on would help prevent the violation of the care taker. Thanks for any info and input

Actually, so long as you distract them with anything, even placing them on a gym or back into their cage will usually stop the action.

Ok, I think I know what you were trying to say here, but, I'm sorry that I have to admit it make me laugh.

Distraction and not encouraging it is far better than encouraging it, even with something else... I had one of my budgies start making love to a couple of toys that I ended up removing...

Our quaker, Pickles, has a hut that we call his "Humpy Hut" - he can't help himself and I sure am NOT going to offer up my services.
My U2, Buck Buck, is a bit infatuated with me and climbs on my hand once in a while. I am not mean to him, however, I do distract him, and it seems to work.

oooh

haha, "humpy hut"

every once in awhile we babysit a quaker "Toots" and she is quite the perv. She has a special affection for my dad and he didn't know what she was doing until we told him. Some neck nuuzzles seem to turn dirty pretty quickly with "Toots." It's so hard to say no! haha
