Need immediate advice about separating lovebirds

As you may or may not know I have 2 lovebirds for adoption. I took these 2 birds from a breeder that did not have time to continue the handfeeding. They have lived together since I got them which will be 3 weeks tomorrow. I have someone that is interested in adopting only one of them. I am trying to get them to take them both but they really only want one. Have they been together long enough to have bonded and will be upset if the other one is gone? They get along fine, some times fight but mostly kiss and are cuddled together.

It would be hard to separate them since they have bonded, but it is possible (with two screaming babies). They'd be happier to go together, but it's NOT a must.

Really??? I can't believe that they have bonded in such a short period of time. I hate to make them unhappy, but this guy sounds like he'd be giving the lutino a wonderful home and he is very experienced with birds

Frankly, I think they'll be just fine. In fact, their chance to be good and fun pets increases if they are only pets. Often lovies can be difficult to handtame if they have a partner.

Oh thanks so much Linda, I was really concerned about this. I hate to seethe lutino go because he is the more friendly, unafraid one but then again it will give me more time to work on Mango. I am thrilled to have place this little one in a bird knowledgable home. They apparently, recently lost a bird and had a lovebird that lived for 15 years.
