To feed or not to feed ...

This is a question that popped up on another board and I wanted to konw what you all thought about it.

Are these "safe" for my birds to eat?
Kaki Fruit}
} Persimmons (I know these are safe as mine love them to death)
Fuji Fruit}
Ya Pears - I would think "safe?"
Dragon Fruit - I would think "Not safe?"
Asian Pears - "Safe?"
Custard Apples - No idea?

My thoughts on "exotic" fruits is that I really don't know what kind of fertilizers and or pesticides were used. Some countries still use things that have been illegal here in the States for ages. I try to buy all my fruits and veggies at a local "Organic" market. Even if it's only to ease my mind.
Are there any others (fruits/veggies) that might be of interest and could be added to the list above?
