Introducing Ms. Pebbles

She is gorgeous, and though a bit wild, she steps up and makes a few assorted noises! Hubby thinks she is beautiful and loves her already!
I have the best hubby in the world!
We spent all day cleaning caging and rearranging to make room for our new baby.
If I say I want another bird, someone please stop me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No regrets though, love her, and hope she will be happy here.

I soooo miss her Laurie (even though I did not have much time to interact with them) & how she would follow Bam-Bam's lead to come over to give me a kiss everyday .........I'm sure she will come around in the not tooo distant future with your training skills at work. Love, patience and reward seems to always work for me as training aids - as they go thru their fluctuating stages of development........She probably really misses Bam-Bam, more than me of course & will take a lil while to get used to him being gone. They used to cuddle up together at the bottom of their outdoor flight, in one corner ........ .....Since you & Nina live so close by to each other, it will be great if they get to say hi to each other once in a while. I'd love to hear a report on THAT!!! ...Btw, good progress already as she didn't step up for me in quite awhile....... Ya do have a great hubby there!!!

And if "Ya say ya want another bird" .... lol , just call me.

Btw, I know what she is thinking: "Where the hell am I".... lol

Don't you just love those red polka dots on her legs and tummy? She's the cutest little thing (after Sarah, of course ). I had a feeling you were going to be her Mom and Nina Bam Bam's. Glad to hear everything went well and you got home okay. It sure was a treat for me getting to meet the two of you. Now you know where I live, so come back whenever you like.

I did get three kisses out of her this evening!
I don't know a lot about greys, however, I have learned that they growl! After I got my kisses she was growling and fussy - wanted back to her cage. I don't think it will take long for her to feel comfy here.
Nina and I did discuss visits after they are a bit calmer. It is wonderful living so close to her!

She is beautiful. Congratulations on the new family addition. Oh boy, do they growl. The first time I ever took care of several pair of breeders, I heard this growling coming from their boxes. I thought what the heck is in there, that noise can't be coming from those little birds!

LOL Karen - hubby said the same thing last night. Pebbles was in her carrier and hubby kept asking "what is that noise". I told him she was growling

What a pretty little baby grey! They are such distinctive little characters. You will find that they are completely different from the macaws and 'toos.

And yes, they sure do growl. On Friday night I decided to put a sweater on my cocker spaniel whom I had picked up from the groomer that afternoon. Due to the new haircut and cold temperatures, I could see she could use the sweater. Well, it did not last long! Out of no where I could hear my CAG, Gabby, growling like mad and then escalate into a full panic attack.

I rushed into the birdroom expecting to see her in some catastrophic condition when all that was wrong was that she saw the dog with the sweater. No matter how much I tried to reassure her that the sweater would do her no harm, she would have nothing to do with it. Every time the dog came within 10 feet of her, she would go into full phobic behavior. So, I had no choice but to take the sweater off! Gee, my birds really do come first!
