an original Beeper

I've wondered many times what Beeper would do with some non-toxic paints in a controlled, safe environment. Well, I tried it today. I haven't decided yet whether or not I'm sorry, or whether I'll ever try it again, but here it is, an original Beeper:

The only part of him that was really covered in paint were his feet. He walked through some and actually held a paintbrush for part of it. And, of course, he took a really good bath when we were all done.

Like I said, I don't know whether I'll ever do it again, but if I can think of a less messy way to do it... I might.

How funny! Hold on to that - you may be able to sell it on e-bay for a good price!

Pssshhhaaawww....that's nothing! Look what my baby can do!

She loves doing reproductions. As you can see, she is a big fan of Van Gogh!

Seriously though, that's a cute idea. How hard was it to get the paint off Beeper?

That's cool! They have elephants and pigs that paint, why not a Senegal?

A few years ago I was in a painting phase and Zen ran across my painting and made little green bird foot prints across our cream carpet!

It's just on plain printer paper, but I will be framing it.

It wasn't too hard to get the paint off his feet because I didn't let it set. The whole thing took about 5 minutes.

I was more worried about paint on his feathers. Lucky, being half plucked worked in his favor :)

I'm seriously thinking about doing it again, if I can find a good way to protect his feathers. I'm considering asking Nancy to make me a Beeper painting smok after the holidays when she gets to feeling better.

Last night I was playing with the idea of letting him create more paintings and selling them... maybe with a little picture of him painting and a short description. We could open a bank account just for him, and we could use any money we made to buy bird toys and food and such so it wouldn't be exploitive.

I don't know... I'm still thinking on it ;)

...Alika! I love that!!! Very talented...

...and Donna? Not that it matters, you too have a very talented reproduction artist...but that painting is by Munch, not Van Gogh...:-D
