I filed a misleading title complaint with Ebay over this. IT seems the creature at least deserves recognition for what it is before ending up a show piece on someones mantle.

It kind of bothers me, too. I sent a message to the seller about the species.

Although, I have to say, that's the bird to buy if you want a large parrot just to show off...

I sent this vile creature an inquiry demanding the name of the zoo that provided the remains of this creature for taxidermy. I also sent along the relevant sections of the CITES code that forbids sale or trafficking in living members, or remains of any animal listed in the CITES 1 appendix. Ara Chloroptera, or greenwing macaws are on the CITES 1 appendix. If she does not respond within 24 hours I will file a formal complaint with APHIS, & The Department of Fish & Game. If she cannot provide proof of provenance in the case of this poor dead creature, she is in for a huge fine & jail time. I hope she has to see her offspring sold as crass morbid necrophile curiosities. May her bones be burnt.

Why is it that your response must be in the form of a vitriolic diatribe? Couldn't you have just, like us mere mortals, pointed out that something was wrong and needed to be rectified? Perhaps this person really does not know of these restrictions. I also understand that ignorance is no excuse but I wouldn't have gone so far as to sell their grandchildren into servitude, or as you are doing curse her bones.
You make it extremely difficult to understand/believe that you are a Rabbi. Those that I know teach love and compassion. And especially during this time of year a pinch of humanity goes a long way.

If you, don't like my posts, don't read them. If you feel that you have some standing to dare to attempt to judge me, justify it. You can take your most UN-holy day greetings & keep them to your self. Who are you to shove your xian imperialist world view on me? This time of the year is no different from any other season. You are judgemental with no basis from which to judge. As for what Rabbis you know, I assert that they are much like that assertions you made in the thread regarding H5N1, specious & non-existent.

Your phrase is belied by all the other words in your posting. You have consistenly harassed me about my postings with but one exception. If you cannot cope with reality of persons having widely divergent & extremely strongly held beliefs, you really need to get out more. Perhaps long-term medication has made you too delicate for strongly held views, or perhaps you are just a crypto-facist trying to play a sympathy card ("oh, I'm scared of the big bad opinion"), either way, introduce yourself to the "ignore list" button & never again have your delicate little sensibilities offended.
You seem far too concerned about appearing as an aggrieved party, how you justify this, one can but imagine. Find a more productive pastime than attempting a battle of wits. Even if you are unarmed, I will not give quarter. Perhaps you would do well to study stylistic English prose & grammar. My posts are never haphazard "sentences strung together", rather, they are internally consistent, & properly constructed. There is nothing that you could ever post that would be even the least hindrance to my posting in this forum, as long as I respect the rules & T.O.S. set down by the persons who own this site. If, however, it is simply your desire for attention & a wont to argue, simply pm your screeds to me, & I will make time to respond so that you don't feel ignored. Either way, it would be a service if you would avoid attempting to provoke stern words in the public forums.

I can't imagine why anyone would want to buy a stuffed dead bird (never mind that it was misidentified).
