In his seed bowl!
I caught him yesterday sitting in his seed bowl, just sitting there looking all sweet and innocent like. As I type this he is madly thrashing about in the bowl, scattering seeds left and right, wings flapping and chirping happily. I tried to fool him with an extra bowl of water (to bathe in) but he was having none of that, as soon as I took that bowl out and put the seed bowl back in, in he hopes and starts thrashing around again! I even tried to bribe him away from there with a wet bunch of silver beet but to no avail.
Hmmm, is this normal tiel behavior? Lol, I have heard about sand baths for horses, but never seed baths for tiel. Kinda messy, and I don't think its making him any cleaner.

Maybe he'd like a sand bath then!!! LOL I don't have any birds who 'bath' in there seeds, but a few do like to sit IN the dishes while eating!

Must be an Aussie bird thing. My tiels used to jump in their seed dish until I replaced it with a seed hopper. Tjinimin was doing the same thing so I took out the large dish and put in 2 small ones he can't stand in.
