New babies!!!
I posted awhile back about two linnies in Petco. When I originally saw them they wanted $429 for them each.
Then I went back in for dog food w/ BF and they were still there after 6 months. Well then they were buy one get one free. So two for $429. Well I tried talking to a manager who was a young girl who could care less. She wouldn't let me hold them. Told me I would have to buy them first....  I was pretty mad. I also mentioned that they weren't being taken care of. Nails trimmed, no toys, feet getting sideways from the nails.Well today I went back in with BF and we saw they were still there. I got the main manager and told her the whole story. She was shocked and apologetic and furious at said girl. Then she told me if I still wanted them I could have both of them for $260!!!!! I DON"T do petco. But these birds needed a home and she made me a deal. So now I have two little blue linnies. They seem to be bonded tho. Monday I will get them a vet appt. But who cares......they are out of petco and you should see the digs I am setting them up with.  I will be back to post pics!!I am so freakin psyched!!!!! My BF bought them for me for my birthday!

I also have a question. I can see like little red veins running down their beaks. Since all my birds have dark beaks I have never seen this. Is it normal?

Oh how beautiful!! I'm sorry, I don't know about the red veins but I'm sure someone will come along that does :)

Enjoy the new babies.
Saying you do not like pet-co is like saying you do not like a friend because of their parents. The friend cannot make excuses for their parents. Just enjoy the friend and tolerate the patents. Be polite and civil. Pet-co is the parent in this analogy. The pets are the friends. I shop at pet-co and I like what I purchase there. I do not like everything there, but I like what I get there. Just another store in a world walking down the Wal-mart path to the future.
