Birdies and Brooms

Attack of the Killer Broom....

Do your birds hate brooms? Higgins hates brooms- its not so much he is scared of it, as he wants to kill it... I have a very bright red broom, which I dont think helps the situation. Once, when I hadnt had Higgins for very long, I had him running around the table in the kitchen. He was "exploring". I took the broom out to sweep the floor. No big deal right? WRONG. Higgins took it upon himself to "save" me from the big red monster, and threw himself against the broom, but immediatly sprang back, with cries of "ohhhh". Then he went into "caique attack mode" All you caique owners know what I am talking about- puffed out, eyes pinning, wings held away from the body. He started lunging at the broom, and screaming "Watch out birdie!" I moved the broom slighty towards him and he shouts " MWHAHAHAHHAHAAHHA Dont hurt the birdie, its a GOOD BIRDIE! Be nice to the birdie!"

Cute story, thought I should share, LOL

You should see him when he starts to dance to his own "theme" song- LOL. All I have to do is start saying "Go Higgins, woohoo, woohoo" and he starts bopping up and down and says "Woohoo, woohoo" with spurts of "Higgins!" Its too cute.
