Tiels are just so stubborn who they want to be friends with, aren't they??? LOL

In the beginning I could never keep Casey away from Noel! Now they are best buds and sleep snuggled up at night!

Aww how sweet. They sure make "unlikely" friends but when they have their minds set on something no one can stop it!

My tiel hates my Ekkie. Miki's such a sweet bird with people, but if he's sitting on my arm and Yubi tries to sneak down from my shoulder... he'll yell and threaten to attack until Yubi runs back to my shoulder. I usually have them out together and they're both fine with that, but I guess Miki doesn't want Yubi to invade "his space" Mighty attitude comes in small packages...

I know this sounds crazy, but I think sometimes the bigger birds regard the small ones as their pets. I've seen it around here. When Aspen the Hahns used to board here, Sailor (my BG) would routinely let her out and they would climb up onto my valances and preen each other. It used to scare me to death, but it made sense to them.

lol..what a pair! My black capped and love bird HATED each other...then I was hospitalized unexpectedly for two whole weeks...

My family took care of them...but no one really held them and cuddled them and gave them skritches.. So I guess they turned to each other when they got out of cage time to preen one another... imagine my surprise when I came home.. and boy were those two mad at me for disappearing on them! They screamed at me and ran away from me!! AND TO EACH OTHER!!

Same here! Miki gets VERY upset if I do anything with Yubi without doing it with him first. When I come home I always have to take out Miki first, Miki always goes on the playpen first, and gets fed before Yubi does. Otherwise he'll give me hell! And just like yours, Miki knows how to fly (finally!) and Yubi's still growing his flight feathers (he came to be with too severe a cut) so there's no way Miki will let me go ANYWHERE with Yubi without him flying into my face

Speaking of pets having pets, one my cats used to have a pet rat. When the rat got older and was ill, NaiNai (the cat) will lick her, cuddle her, and protected her like she was his baby. He'll even let the rat eat straight out of his bowl. I have a picture of them together somewhere...

None of my birds have any issues of being fed or given attention to first... just as long as they all get food!
