Oil filled radiator!!

After worrying myself sick that Ollie is freezing my my apartment I finally decided to go check out the heaters at Walmart. BTW, she really isn't "freezing" although I am! We keep the thermostat at 70, but Ollie is close to our sliding glass door, and I personally am cold all the time, so she must be too, right??

Anyways, I think I remember somebody saying on here that portable oil filled electric radiators are around $100....I got mine for $36!! They had 3 different brands, all with 3 different wattage settings, and all for $36. Needless to say, I got one!

So if anybody is cold, or thinks their fids are, and wants a cheap(er) way to warm up, go to Walmart and get one of these!!!

That's a great price Camille. It'll give you peace of mind, I know mine does. I like that I can turn it up a bit after giving a shower also.

I have 3 here. Most of them were about $100. However, they get cheaper every year. I think they are the BEST and most efficient of any small heater you can get. And, they are very, very safe.

i bought one last year just for my birdie room,,,,we live in an older house where the walls are thin, and this house doens't have central heat (yet). They warm up nicely, and no worries on red coils getting too hot or what ever. and slim enough to hide away in the warmer months

I picked one up for 40 when our heat went out during a cold snap. Is isn't the most powerful thing so i might buy a second but I like the automatic shut off and no exposed element features.

Well we had a slight problem last night...apparently our apartment is very weak elecrically speaking...I had my new heater plugged in all evening yesterday, no problems. My roommate went to go to bed, so she plugged hers in. The breaker blew immediately. We're going to have to figure something else out, but it's so strange that her bedroom, and our living room are all on the same breaker. I'm going to have to find an extension cord that is okay to use with the heater so I can use the plug-in in the dining room.

I am thinking about getting another heater for my bedroom. Now that it is so warm in the living room, I really notice how cold it is in my room!

Hubby bought one for my bird room after researching if it would be ok.... all by himself. I was impressed.

Ours was about $30 at Home depot. It's a no frills, simple, model.

Forget the dinky little space heaters. Be a man and either put on more clothes or snuggle down in a nice fluffy blanky.

Or you could be a grandmother and knit some accesories for yourself and your bird.

Or just be yourself, and get another little space heater.
