This is a rendering of the extinct Maritian Blue Parrot. Lophopsittacus Maruitainus also known as the broad billed parrot. Much like the Dodo, they were large heavy-bodied birds, while they could fly, they were rather bad at it.

Hunted to extinction by filthy humans. Yet another crime for which our disreputable species will be called to account for in the docket.

Pretty bird! Can you give a hint? What continent is it from?

The Indigo Winged Parrot recently rediscovered by a group of students (or a team of young ornithologists) in Columbia, and thought to have been extinct for around 90 years... It is also known as Fuertes’s parrot (Hapalopsittaca fuertesi).



And for the next one, it might be confusing to many, but I'm sure someone out there will know what it is!

That looks kinda like the new subspecies of the sun conure they found...

Actually, it's not a subspecies.... it's a completely different species to the sun, like the blue and gold macaw vs the greenwing. Neither one are subspecies to eachother...
