How to put on weight

Hey all,
I recently went to to get Buddy my cockatiels wings clipt, and the lady said to me, "He feels skinny". And if I feel Buddy;s chest, I can deffinitly find his keel bone.

I'm 90% sure the cause is because Buddy is on a Tropican Pellet base diet. Being that he's a skinny minny, should I add seed to his diet?

He does, recieve seed... just not alot, and not often

Thanks for the input,
Steven

PS:His personality is normal

And PSS: Pic of my newest edition...a leopard gecko!

I was going to recommend ice cream and chocolate to put on weight-now I see you meant for a bird.

OK, sunflowers seeds cause birds to gain weight, that's all I can think of.

How old is your fid?
When my quaker was several months old, I almost lost him to malnutrition...he wasn't eating, no matter what I did. I had to go back to hand-feeding for about a week...ever since then, I can't get him to STOP eating!!

Avi-cakes and millett work too! Try, also, baked potato chips (as treats, not more than 1 or 2 at a time, no more than about every other day), fully-cooked low fat meats (chicken, beef, pork), oatmeal, whole grain cereal w/ VERY little bit of low-fat (1-2% or skim) milk....just until he gains some weight.

I have a budgie who ate small sunflower seeds, but most sunflower seeds are too loarge of seeds for budgies to crack.
