ratty-looking molters!

Poor Scarlett is molting the feathers on her head this month. She looks really ratty! I will have to take a picture of her as it is a sad sight to behold!

I'm just happy to know that this is normal process for the girl.

Poor Scarlett!

Aree is going through her (first?) molt. Her pin feathers are sticking out, but so far her feathers are looking pretty good. I'm preparing for the worst though.

They always look so bad when they molt like that! Tiki doesn's let us rub his head so he is going through the same thing!

I was just going to ask if anyone had birds who were molting right now!! It appears that Willow is just starting to molt again.

Yup- petting Higgins is like petting a porcupine... Paco will do anything for a headscratch, including spinning circles on top of his cage..... and Mercy begs for headscratches each time you walk past her...
molting time- ughhhhhh.... for both birds and humans!

Yuki is moulting, and Bree appears to be starting to as some of her head feathers are starting to grow back :D, luckily though Yuki is still his handsome self and Bree... well she'll be attractive once her feathers come in. :)
