once again I find myself in "duh" mode. Silly me, T12 tubes work just fine in the T8 fixture...... which has been put back up. I am waiting on a call back from the place I do my ordering from before I order from above link. My boss wants the lights in her apartment! Like I said, we don't get a lot of sunshine here in Marina so we take it as we get it!

I use regular aquarium strip lights with full spectrum flouresent tubes in them for my finches. Their cages are square so I just sit the light on the top of the cage. I buy the bulbs from Menard's Hardware Store.

No good Genene from all I have read...Ya need to study all the literature on the subject in order to make the most informed decisions....Is that an electronic ballast? Are the tubes a minimum of 92 CRI (best being 98 CRI)?...etc. etc.......Lighting for fish, reptiles, plants, etc. is different than for birds....If ya need any more info., do a search here by typing F.S. Lighting or Full Spectrum Lighting into our search feature.....
