chamomile for birds

I have my tiel Dandy I've posted about before but she has horrible hormone problems when she has them she screams becomes anxious territorial and just all around looney. The poor thing had a hormone shot over a month ago and it made her so much better but the vet said the shot would only last about a month and low and behold she's back at it. I have been doing reading on the internet and found some articles saying it's ok to give birds chamomile in a tea and that it relaxes them i'm wondering if this would help. Anyone have any ideas about this and how much should I give her I imagine strongly diluted. I just don't want the poor thing having to get shots all the time. I've done all I can think off and am looking for anything.

If you are going to try using chamomile tea, mix up a cup of tea (try and find a good brand too... Stash is great! ORRRRR see if you can find a place that sells chamomile leaves to make your own) and dilute with 4 parts water. The smallest ratio you would want to mix is 1 part tea to 2 parts water. Most sites though suggest 1:4 ratio. If you give this to her, do not give it to her for more than 2 weeks at a time. You may also want to have an extra water source on hand.
