Hey Everyone~~~~~~~~~~~~~...its that time again!!!!
The Parrots At Play annual photo contest is underway for our 2007 calendar.


So I want to see your submissions this year!!!!!
(no I am not a judge, but I do get a list of submissions, with no information...
so I get to figure out who is who's baby!) Submissions are FREE..........
As you all know, several of our BB members birds have graced the pages of this calendar, each year!
If your baby is chosen, know your picture is helping to raise funds for birds in need, ALL OVER THE WORLD!

You are allowed one picture per species.
If you have several greys.....pick your BEST picture....
If you have a grey, a too, and a tiel, you can submit one of each.
I have attached the link for you to follow and submit your pictures.
Printed photos can be sumbitted via snail mail to the address provided on the website.

Lisa, what if you have different mutations of Tiels and Princess Parrots? Especially the blue Princess and Green Princess, they are way different looking.

Tara, They would still be considered the same species.
The reason We did this is because one year we had LOTS of toos that the judges picked. we had nothing to do with it...however, some who ordered the finished product did not like it.....
SO we get the pics submitted, place them in a general catagory(tiels, zons,keets,etc) and ask the judges (5) to score individual catagories,from a spreadsheet with the score of 1-5. This way, more species are represented. top scores from each catagory get placed.
Ties, get additional scores, from the board(there are 3, one would be me...thus the reason I have no information on WHO sent what, so I can also be fair and impartial)
top 12 get assigned months....



Camille...they can be anything you like....playing or headshots....
The theme is having fun, but some drop dead georgous head shot will get the votes from the judges just as easily.

Tracy, yes it can....but I beleive you would have to assign it to a group. (does that make sense**LOL**)

Lori...VERY cute.... I like the face on the sun!!!


as ya'll know....Mike (Graehstone) helped us out last year with a poem he wrote to be included in the calendar. We've asked him to work with us again for 2007.

I also believe one of our own members of BB is going to be asked to be a judge. However, "they" are not to allowed to let any of you all know untill after if "they" choose to.

I will let you know as soon as I know if we have asked one of our own to be a judge!!!!

I have printed the registration for later - I am going to submit the beautiful Ms. Cookie, my avatar! She has to be a winner - she is just TOO gorgeous and sweet not to be!

And who wants to take bets on who the selected judge of BB may be? I have a few members rolling around in my head!!!!!!
