We're bonding!
I'M SO EXCITED! My mealy zon, Caesar, is a rehome and his previous owners got rid of him because of his screaming. He was bonded to the husband but the wife didn't really interact with him at all. We got him the day before Christmas. Well, he ADORES my husband but he wasn't too sure about me. Since my hubby works so much, and he's supposed to be my bird, I spend the most time with him. It hasn't been too difficult but you could tell that hubby was his favorite. Well, over the weekend, he was out of his cage and I was sittign in the chair next to him watching tv and playing with him, in between breaks of cleaning the house. Hubby called and I had to go into my bedroom to answer to phone. Well Caesar flew off of his cage and through the doorway of my bedroom immediately after I went in there. Its a corded phone so I couldn't go back into the living room. That's the first time he's done that. I'm so happy! I'm finally getting somewhere with him. At least I finally feel like he cares for me.
