Exclamation Goliath's beak

Goliath seems to be having some type of pain on his lower beak...he wants to eat, but anything he has to really use his beak for seems to hurt him, so right now I'm giving him mushy stuff and some handfeeding formula. He tries to pick up cheerios, etc., but he's approaching them from a funny angle and when he touches it to his lower beak he yelps and backs up. He won't let me touch it to find out what's going on. It looks normal as far as I can tell just by looking...my AV can't see him until tomorrow. Any ideas what this could be? Could it be he's injured his beak and what my options until my AV can see him tomorrow?

It's possible he broke part of his beak off and it became sensitive or he somehow managed to bang it up... Keep giving him soft foods until he can be seen.
