Sounds like he got attached to the mirror (why I don't recommend birds and mirrors together). You have indeed taught him to scream though for attention....
If need be, try playing soft music, ignoring him (if you can), giving him extra toys to play with, and just trying to distract him from screaming.

Thanks Monica, I went out yesterday and got him several new toys , he's always got some and he sees his '''buddy" in the mirror every day or more for showertime and it's never caused a problem. He has his own t.v. and I vary soft music channels. It seems some owners feel it's is good to comfort a scared bird while other don't , but it's hard not to when you know he really is afraid but at the same time don't want to promote bad behavior.
