I'm back and now going to get Humphrey!

Hi everyone!
I'm back in England and back to birdboard. I didn't have time to scratch my arse while in Philly, so busy we were with wedding and pre-wedding stuff. The wedding was amazing by the way - I'll link to some pics later.

We've been back a couple of hours and we are going to pick up Humphrey in a few minutes. I am so excited to see him, I can't tell you how much I've missed him. I hope he still remembers and loves us. My mother in law said he had a great time at her house. He decided that the top of her drink cabinet in the living room was his office. Humphrey has his own laptop (because he likes playing with them so much- Iit's a very old one that doesn't work anymore) and he also liked to perch on my mom in law's phone that was up there! Also she said he perched on the frame containing my picture a lot...wonder if that's a substitute for his second favorite perch: my head.

I didn't get to see Lisa and I'm gutted about it. We were so busy and I wasn't able to borrow a car to get there. But I will definitely do it next time I"m home, which should be December.

My god, there are so many new posts I have to read!

Michele and soon my dear Humphrey

Glad to see you made it home safely! I'm sure little Humphrey can't wait to be with you! I wonder who suffered more?

Humphrey's been back a full day and night now. He hasn't forgotten us - in fact I've never seen him so clingy. He will not get off of my head! He keeps flying over, and landing on my head. He will fly back to get some food, but a minute later he's on my head again. Later in the night he was landing on my chest, just under my chin, and preening my hair. Tritak told me a story about leaving her parrots, and when she came back, she had 4 macaws following her around the house, regurgitating. She said that Humph might be affectionate when we were reunited. Well Tritak, if you're reading this, you were so right!

However, the litte bugger would not get in his cage for bedtime tonight. A bad and indulgent bird mommy, I moved him and his cage (with him on top - it was either that or my head/chest) into my bedroom to sleep with us.
Night night (we're 5 hours ahead of the Eastern USA time)
