Free Range Scarlet Macaws Netherlands
Came across this site today and was amazed and capitivated by the story of these two scarlet macaws - Unfortunately the last update appears to be in August of 2005

Reading that site got me to thinking about the practice of taking babies away from the parents to hand raise them. That article described how the parents were very agitated and frustrated when they lost a baby. Do they go through this in captivity when their babies are taken away from them?
