wallet id idea
I know folks carry alerts to health conditions, donor status, etc. Today we stopped at a Golden Retriever rescue yard sale and they were handing out cards to be kept with your driver's license or ID that states:
Important Notice There are companion animals in my home waiting for me. If for any reason I am unable to return home to feed and care for my companion animals, please immediately notify the following people:Please help my pets. Space for names and contact info. Backside these people have my permission to enter my home to attend to the needs of my animals. If my companion animals are with me at the time of my personal emergency or death, these people also have my permission to take possession of my companion animals to provide for their care. signed: dated:

That's cool.. I have pics of my fids and dog in my wallet, so hopefully, somebody would get the idea that I have animals at home that need care..but that card sounds like a much better idea!

I've seen something similar to put on ones door.... I like the wallet idea too! Now only if I actually carried around a wallet! Heck, I've got two!

I have a card like that. I also keep my bird's seed hoppers topped up. If worst came to worse and we were both incapacitated, the hoppers store about a week's worth of seed-enough time for us to recover or get someone out there. They wouldn't get their usual veggies but they wouldn't starve either. I also have several water bottles with beak-sized troughs that are always full when we leave the house.

This is an awesome idea. I don't like the idea of having something on my house window letting everyone know what is inside - I guess I am a bit paranoid, however, in today's world it isn't really paranoid, is it?
Thanks for the great idea - I may make my own card for my wallet.

I too have a card in my wallet.
I have a contact information card on my refridge at home, and the police and alarm company know the arrangements of my house, as well as my neighbors. They too have my vet info.
