Exclamation Baby's Wing - Pain.

Well..while I was out of my room Baby flew. He flew on my desk. He was at first on my headboard, where he usually is...and now he's in pain, screaming...because of his wing. It's always his right wing. He must have hit it or something to be on my desk and fly that high. He can't get it in place right now.

I was gone for 5 minutes and mom told me Baby was screaming.

Could this be either because he hit it, or maybe a feather came out just a little bit and causing him pain. I wish I could get it but don't know how. It's just out near his tail feathers.

Also, I don't think I'm going to the pet store where I go to get his wings clipped. Depending on who it is, they always clip it wrong...either the secondaries or very little off the primary ones.

I would check his wing and see if one of his feathers is bent out of place. Mine have done that and it causes them to panic and scream hysterically. Also check to see if he has any broken blood feathers. If you can't see the obvious cause of the problem and he is still screaming, you need to take him to the vet just in case he has broken his wing.

Baby's wing - Pain

If he can't get the wing in place it may be dislocated or possible broken. I suggest quiet cage time with no activity right now. Cover the cage or what ever you have to do and then get a vet appointment for tomorrow.
