Correct types of fruit and Veggies to feed your parrot

Hi All,

I was just wondering what are good types of veggies and fruits to feed birds and what are the bad ones? I know this has been probably asked before but I am trying to compile a list for a website. Any help would be appreciated....

Thanks
Rich

I ( BY CHOICE) do not make fruits an integral part of my birds diets. Loaded with sugars, and low nutritional value, they are more a treat than a daily part of what my babies eat. In the recipe section of this website, you will find a vast number of recipes that are fed to the multiples of fids that roost here on Birdboard.

What type of website are you trying to build?

Now I'm confused. I thought Almonds and Brazil Nuts were on the "good" list??

Quito, if they are from a health food store, the nuts are more than likely fine... but if they've been dyed or otherwise then it may not be a good idea...

Your planters nuts are too salty to use for your FIDs. The can stuff anyhows. Most food stores at least GOOD ones have raw nuts that you can buy.

I'm talking about unsalted, in the shell. Do you mean the shells are sometimes dyed?
