What a talented bird you have, Sara :-). I haven't even tried to teach Bob or Gracie any tricks (although Gracie came knowing quite a few). I'm glad he has decided to bond and be friends. Bob has learned new things since he arrived, too, but the most fun thing that he does is that every morning when I let him out of his cage, he wants to get all snuggly--by throwing himself over on his back and beaky, beaky, beaky at my fingers for a half hour while I hold him like a baby! If I put him upright, he rolls back over. We only finish this "game" when HE's ready! I'm gonna hafta remember to start carrying foot toys, methinx.... After that, he's ready for me to make his breakfy and settle down for awhile in his cage so I can get on with taking care of the rest of the flock. Aren't they fun? *grins*

Congrats on how far you've come with your little guy!! I know you must be excited! I haven't started training Spencer to do tricks yet. I think that would be so much fun. I think he'd enjoy it, also.
Good luck with the bath "problem". Greys, in general, don't like to bathe. Spencer hates it when I spray him with the spray bottle. If he's not in his cage, he tries to run away from with water bottle. I tried to put him in the shower with me one day, that didn't work either. Neither did putting him in the kitchen sink. But, he does like to toss the water around that's in his water bowl. Unfortunately, most of it gets all over the living room and not on his body. I'm sure he'll earn with time! |
