Need some advice

Hey all, I wanted to get some advice on a situation I'll be facing in a couple weeks. There's going to be lots of changes going on for all my Fids (2 feathered, 3 furred). 1st, we're moving to a new house. 2nd I'm starting a second job...which means longer periods of time away from the house.

I wanted to get some tips/advice on how to make this easier on my fids. The first week in the new house I'm taking off work to help get everyone settled in. But then I'll have my extended working hours. Any suggestions for toys to help keep them busy? Little things I could change in their routine to prepare them? I'm concerned about stressing them out with all this at one time, unfortunately though I need the extra job to help afford the costs of living on my own.

Taking them over for short periods of time before the 'big move' may help quite a bit as well as having some extra toys, music, and whatnot for them while your away. You may want to try and get their setup from the old place pretty close to what it would be in the new place (such as the position of cages near walls/windows/doors)...

The good thing is,they'll have each other during this transition. That should help a grey't deal. But definitely get them some toys that will keep them busy. Without knowing what type of fids you have, I can't really suggest which type of toy would be best.

I leave the radio on when I'm not at home. This way, things aren't too quiet. Which could also drive them nuts.

Good luck with everthing.
